Who I Am
My name is Marketa. I am a TCM practitioner, yoga & embodiment teacher, herbalist, and natural living advocate, originally from the Czech Republic. I am a holistic wellness enthusiast passionate about integrating ancient practices into modern life. Thanks to the time I spent on my grandparents’ farm and in the surrounding forests, I developed a deep connection with nature and a profound appreciation for traditional healing methods.
Growing up surrounded by herbalists, I was drawn to natural remedies and holistic health, a passion ignited by my grandmothers’ wisdom, their concoctions, and wildcrafting herbs in surrounding forests and valleys.
As an adult, I encountered significant challenges with my digestion and back pain due to scoliosis, which profoundly affected the direction of my life. Frustrated by conventional treatments that only offered temporary relief, I turned to alternative therapies for solutions.
During my journey to find healing, I discovered yoga and Ayurveda, which provided physical relief, emotional balance, and a sense of well-being. Additionally, I pursued my interest in herbs and began studying Western Herbalism.
Fuelled by my newfound passion, I immersed myself in the study of yoga, eventually becoming a certified instructor. Combining my background as a personal trainer, dancer, and yoga teacher with my herbalism knowledge, I founded my own studio—a sanctuary where others could embark on their own journey to wellness.
But my thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. After moving to the US, intrigued by the holistic principles of traditional Chinese medicine, I pursued a master’s degree in the field, deepening my understanding of the body’s interconnectedness and the importance of harmonizing mind, body, and spirit.
Drawing from years of study in holistic health, movement, and Eastern medicine, I developed an approach to healing that goes beyond surface-level wellness. My work is rooted in the understanding that true transformation happens through the body—by regulating the nervous system, restoring inner safety, and reconnecting to our natural rhythms.
Rather than focusing on quick fixes, I guide people back to themselves through embodied practices that release stored tension, support emotional processing, and cultivate resilience from within. This work honors the individuality of each person, meeting them where they are and allowing the body to lead the healing process.
While my background includes herbal medicine and plant-based healing, my focus has evolved into helping others experience lasting change through somatic movement, awareness, and nervous system repair.
Today, I share this work through courses, practices, and guidance designed to help you feel grounded, regulated, and fully alive in your body. My mission is to support you in reclaiming your vitality—not by adding more, but by reconnecting to what has always been within you.
